Taking Sabbatical

Assalamualaikum w.b.t. and Greetings.

It has been half a year, and a little bit more, since I started writing this newsletter.

Up to this point, I have written a lot of what has been welling in my chest for the past years of my career. And at some point, I have voiced out enough of what’s bottled up.

As sad as it is to break this consistency spree of writing newsletter, I will be taking a sabbatical in the next few months. Some would know why, while it will remain a mystery for most. My schedule will be busier, and I will have to prioritise my priorities until I am back on track.

And with that, I will leave behind a few pieces of words for my avid readers, or perhaps more.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

Although my writing stops for now, your journey never really ends. As soon as you finish writing this newsletter, most of us will go back to our day-to-day challenges, some are harder than others. I can only wish and pray that you receive good news and tidings moving forward. And again, thank you.

This is only temporary.

And it would seem to make sense to add some advice I would give myself if I were the reader.

Be a curious scientist.

That is my sole advice. Be a scientist in your work, your life, and your relationship. Continue with curiosity, and never settle for an answer. As I grow up, I notice I continue to absorb more and more information, rather than challenging it.

These past few years, I have been trying to break out of that cycle, being a consumer and only a consumer.

In my newsletter, I have been urging you to break out of some common cycles in your career.

But ultimately, my message is for you to be curious.

As always, and with a heavy heart this time, I truly wish good news for those who are waiting for them. And for anyone struggling, know that you are not alone. May Allah s.w.t. bless all my readers.

I have deactivated most of my social media accounts, including Twitter, but if you still would like to reach out, you can reach out to my LinkedIn account at least.

Until we meet again in the next few months.

Thank you 💌
